Parvati (left) is the daughter of the Mountain King Parvata. When she is with her husband, Shiva, her right hand holds a lotus flower while her left arm hangs gracefully to the side of her body "like the tail of a cow" (lolahastamudra). She is the companion figure to the Shiva Vrishavahana in the collection (F.1972.24.S).
